"Preserving therapeutic harp music in our community is essential and vital. We need it at hospice care especially as people are leaving everything and everyone they love behind. It fills a profound human need for tranquility and peace at the end of life like nothing else can do. It is more than just music and that leads me to close with one of my favorite quotes. I have no idea who said this because it is anonymous, but I framed it in pretty script, and it sits on top of our baby grand piano at home so that my son can read it when he's practicing or playing. It's about the sanctity of music in general, I think. But it really applies. It is so very true about therapeutic harp music.

"God gave us music that we might pray without words". So yes, harp music is more than just music, it is a kind of prayer. What you do in the hospice realm, is God's work. And I for one, am eternally grateful, thank you."
