Led by Scott Israel, CSCC Lead Scientist; Dr. Glen Rein, Research Consultant; and Jocelyn Obermeyer, THF Program Director; this project will explore the effects of live therapeutic harp music on stem cells.
We will explore the benefits of live therapeutic harp music on post-surgery recovery for patients, ages 2-6 years, who were born with Atrial Septal Defect (a congenital condition that causes holes in the upper chambers of the heart.) This project will take place over the time frame of 18-24 months and is currently on hold until the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.
Beginning October 2020, THF will bring live therapeutic harp music to opioid babies in the N.I.C.U. We hope to contribute to shortening the average hospitalization time, which is currently two weeks.
